San Luis Obispo beats heat record Wednesday
– San Luis Obispo County Airport recorded 95 degrees late Wednesday morning, breaking the previous daily record of 92 degrees set in 1997, according to a post by PG&E retired marine meteorologist John Lindsey on X.
Cal Poly also reached 100 degrees for a brief period at 11:54 a.m., Lindsey reported.
Northwesterly winds from the Pacific moved in during the afternoon, lowering temperatures into the mid-80s.
