Salud Carbajal releases statement about the passing of John McCain 

John McCain and Salud Carbajal in Hanoi.

–Central Coast Representative Salud Carbajal (CA-24) released the following statement on the passing of U.S. Senator John McCain:

“Saddened to hear of the passing of Senator John McCain. His service, courage, and leadership in the military and as a member of Congress remains an example for all Americans.

“I was humbled to join Senator McCain on an Armed Services Committee visit to Hanoi, Vietnam and learn about his experiences as a prisoner of war and the sacrifices he made for our country. He was a man of conviction and I join the nation in mourning the loss of a true American patriot.”
