Robbery reported at local Rite-Aid
–On Dec. 18, at about 8:50 p.m., the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a call regarding a robbery that just occurred at the Rite-Aid Store located on Johnson. The caller told dispatchers a male subject entered the store, threatened a cashier, and demanded money from the register. The suspect was last seen walking from the store, getting into an unknown type car, and leaving the area. The caller provided a physical description of the suspect as a white male adult, approximately 20 years of age, with a thin face, wearing a dark colored jacket and a face mask. While no weapon was seen, the caller believed the suspect possibly had an unknown weapon in his sweatshirt pocket.
Officers arrived shortly after the call and searched the surrounding neighborhood and shopping center but were unable to locate the suspect.
During the investigation, officers reviewed the Rite-Aid store’s surveillance camera footage and located the images of the suspect shown below. The suspect made off with an unknown amount of cash and a stereo speaker. No one was injured during this incident.
