Road work scheduled next week on Hwy. 41 near Cholame
Delays should not exceed 15 minutes, according to Cal Trans
–One lane of Highway 41, north of Hwy. 46 East will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Friday, Jan. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the installation of protective barrier to ensure the safety of highway workers. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control on Highway 41 north of Highway 46 East with delays not to exceed 15 minutes, according to Cal Trans.
This lane closure is necessary so that First Solar can build left turn lanes near the entrance to their new facility. This lane closure was approved via a Caltrans permit.
Electronic message boards will be activated on State Route 41 and Hwy. 46 East to advise motorists of this lane closure.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down while driving through highway construction zones.
