Update: Road work planned on Highway 41 postponed due to inclement weather

– A project at the intersection of State Route 41 and Los Altos Road in Atascadero has been postponed due to inclement weather. An update will be available later this week, with minimal delays expected when work resumes.

This project will extend the left-turn lane and reconstruct the intersection of State Route 41 from west of Los Altos Road to east of Old Morro Road.

–A project to extend the left turn lane and reconstruct the intersection of State Route 41 from west of Los Altos Road to east of Old Morro Road has been rescheduled for next week with traffic control in the following location:

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control during a closure of the southbound lane near the intersection of State Route 41 at Los Altos Road beginning Monday, Jan. 8 through Friday, Jan. 12 from 9 am until 3 pm. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 5 minutes.

The contractor for this $1.5 million dollar emergency project is Shetler Construction of San Luis Obispo, CA.  The contractor is working under a permit from Caltrans through the City of Atascadero.  This project is expected to be complete in early 2018.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down while driving through highway construction zones.
