Ribbon cutting to be held to celebrate newly painted Atascadero Police station

Before and after

Children from ABC Church painted the building as part of their spring break program

–The City of Atascadero, Atascadero City Council and staff from the Atascadero Police Department will have a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new look of the Police Station on Tuesday, May 31 at noon.

The Atascadero Police Department just received a new coat of paint from the children at ABC Church that are part of their spring break program. The building’s new look was repainted to reflect earth tone colors that replaced the 1980’s era pink, blue and white. The children from ABC church helped paint both the building’s interior and the exterior. Each year they volunteer during spring break to do community service as part of a program called “Project 805.” The children who sign up for this program volunteer all over the North County.
