Republicans gather in Atascadero for holiday potluck
–San Luis Obispo Republicans gathered Wednesday night at their campaign headquarters in Atascadero for their annual Christmas Potluck.
About 100 people showed up with salads, casseroles, desserts and beverages including San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Lynn Compton, former Assemblywoman Andrea Seastrand, Atascadero City Councilwoman Roberta Fonzi and many other elected officials.
Andrea Seastrand said that the Alabama special congressonal election, in which Republican candidate Roy Moore was upset by Democrat Doug Jones was an isolated election, and does not indicate a turn in voter attitudes toward the Republican Party.
Seastrand says the big issue in California is the effort to repeal the gas tax. She says petitions are circulating throughout San Luis Obispo County.
