Registration still available for Cuesta’s Spring semester
Registration open until Jan. 31 with instructor approval
–Cuesta College’s spring semester began Tuesday, Jan. 19. Students can continue to sign up for classes until Jan. 31 with instructor approval. Currently, there are many courses still available in areas such as architecture, art, biology, business, chemistry, computer information systems, early childhood education, English, engineering, mathematics, Spanish and more. Courses are being offered at three locations – the San Luis Obispo Campus, the North County Campus in Paso Robles and the South County Center in Arroyo Grande – and online.
Additionally, the college offers a variety of less-than full-term courses that run between 17 and three weeks, and short-courses that can be completed in two weeks or less. For a look at course availability, go to www.cuesta.edu and click Find Classes.
Currently, 8,718 students are enrolled in courses at Cuesta College for the spring 2016 semester, which is nearly equal to enrollment figures from the opening of spring 2015. Approximately 56 percent of students are taking classes at the San Luis Obispo campus, while about 17 percent are attending the North County Campus. More than 24 percent are enrolled as distance education students and about three percent will receive instruction at the South County Center.
For the first two weeks of school, Cuesta College students can take advantage of free Regional Transit Authority and South County Transit rides. During the period of Jan. 19 through Feb. 2, students need only to show their college ID or a copy of a student schedule to obtain free bus service.
