Rally for Yes on 6: Repeal the Gas Tax held in Atascadero
–The YES on 6 Repeal the Gas Tax SLO County Coalition participated in a rally at the Sunken Gardens in Atascadero, Saturday afternoon.
Some 150 ‘forgotten taxpayers’ rallied to support the repeal the gas tax effort and to meet Carl DeMaio, statewide leader of YES on 6, who is doing a bus tour and stopping at many cities and towns throughout California until Nov. 6, Election Day.
DeMaio spoke to the misleading title of the Prop 6 ballot measure that could be confusing to voters. He stated the correct title for Prop 6 should read: Proposition 6 Gas Tax Repeal Initiative.
DeMaio encouraged the crowd to get friends and family to vote Yes on 6 Repeal the Gas and send a message to the Sacramento politicians that working families cannot afford it.
Also addressing the rally crowd was SLO County Fifth District Supervisor Debbie Arnold and Andrea Seastrand, president of the Central Coast Taxpayers Association.
