Over a quarter inch of rain is in the forecast for Saturday
– A wet start to the weekend will give way to a stretch of mild, sunny weather in Atascadero, according to the latest forecast.
Morning showers on Thursday are expected to clear by Friday, when temperatures will reach 62 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Another weather system moves through Saturday, bringing rain and wind with about a quarter-inch of precipitation expected. The high will reach 57 degrees.
The region will then enter a warming trend, with mostly sunny to sunny conditions predicted through next Friday. Daytime temperatures will climb steadily, peaking at 69 degrees on Thursday before slightly cooling to 67 on Friday.
Overnight lows will remain mild for mid-December, ranging from the high 30s to low 40s throughout the forecast period.
The pleasant conditions follow typical patterns for Atascadero’s Mediterranean climate, with winter temperatures remaining moderate despite occasional rain systems moving through the area.
