Rain expected to arrive in Atascadero by end of week

– Atascadero residents can expect a few more warm, sunny days before showers move in later this week.

Temperatures will climb into the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday before dropping ahead of an approaching weather system. Clouds are expected to build on Thursday, with highs falling to around 70 degrees, as conditions give way to showers Friday and Saturday — the wettest days of the stretch, with highs in the low to mid-60s.

Showers are expected to continue into Sunday morning before tapering off, with partly cloudy skies returning by Monday and temperatures rebounding into the upper 60s.
