Portion of Highway 41 to close overnight March 20 for rockslide repairs

– Travelers will encounter a full overnight closure of Highway 41 from the Highway 41 and Highway 46 interchange to Highway 33 from Thursday, March 19, at 8 p.m. to Friday, March 20, at 8 a.m.
A detour will be available using Highway 46 and Highway 33, which is expected to add about one-half hour of travel time.
During the overnight closure, crews are expected to complete the final phase of repairs following a rockslide that took place in late December. Crews will remove a 400-foot concrete barrier and rock fence from its current location in the lanes and move the structures to the shoulder to serve as an ongoing barrier to potential future rockfall.
Crews will also remove temporary lane striping, reinstall the former permanent striping, and remove traffic control devices.
Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the closure.
