Police investigate possible residential burglary in North County neighborhood

Atascadero Police Department’s K9 assists with search efforts
– The Paso Robles Police Department has distributed a press release regarding the reported residential burglary in Paso Robles:
On Thursday at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Paso Robles Police Department received a report of a residential burglary in progress on Silverwood Way. The owner received notification via his surveillance cameras that three unknown subjects had entered his residence. Officers arrived and with help from the Atascadero Police Department K9, searched the residence. The suspects had fled prior to the officers’ arrival and the loss is still under investigation.
On Aug. 28, PRPD took a similar case where three suspects entered a residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry.

Original article published Aug. 31, 12 p.m.:
– On Thursday, the Paso Robles Police Department received a call from homeowners in the 2600 block of Silverwood Way that they were viewing video surveillance and saw approximately three people in the backyard of the house. Paso Robles police called the Atascadero Police Department to request assistance from their K-9 unit to help with searching the inside of the house.
Four patrol cars were stationed outside the house on Thursday morning.
No further details were available at press time.
