Police detective bureau honored for homicide investigation

Multiple officers recognized for collaborative investigation

– The Atascadero Police Department Detective Bureau recently received a Chief’s Certificate of Commendation during a City Council meeting in Atascadero for investigative work that led to the resolution of a homicide case.

The commendation recognized the following individuals for their roles in the investigation: Sgt. Chris Hall, Cpl. Seth Hughes, Det. Ron Overacker, Det. Warren Pittenger, Code Enforcement Officer Ayla Tomac, and Community Services Officer Lauren Purify.

In addition to the group commendation, Ayla Tomac was also recognized individually and received a Meritorious Service Award during the meeting.
