–The Atascadero Library, located at 6555 Capistrano Avenue, will celebrate American Traditions with a special exhibit that includes quilts and poetry. The exhibit begins April 2 and continues through May 31.
The quilts on display were created by quilters from the Almond Country Quilt Guild, a local group that promotes knowledge of quilting and participation in this creative American craft.
The library is celebrating National Poetry Month with the help of local writers whose poetry reflects many variations on the American Traditions theme.
On Thursday, April 5, from 5:30-7 p.m., a reception will be held at the library to introduce the new exhibit. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is encouraged to attend.
