Pleasant Valley Wine Trail hosting dinner to raise funds for local school

-Promoted post-

–Each year the members of the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail host a dinner under the stars to raise funds for a local cause. This year the group chose the Pleasant Valley School, as the school needs funding to purchase sporting equipment and make long-overdue renovations to their sports field — required renovations include new turf and soccer goals.

The “Dinner Under the Estrella Sky”, will be held Aug. 17 from 6-9 p.m., at the beautiful Hartley Farms venue. This is a wonderful opportunity for guests to mingle with the wine trail’s winemakers and owners during the pre-dinner wine tasting and throughout the 4-course dinner. Raffle and auction items have also been donated to help raise additional funds for the school.

“This is the 4th year we have hosted this dinner and we make the evening special with all thirteen wineries pouring their flagship wine before dinner while guests enjoy passed appetizers and live music. We also have three wines paired with each course!” commented Paula Campbell-Taylor, owner of Graveyard Vineyards and member of the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail’s event committee. “Chef Ryan Swarthout worked hard to create a decadent menu and helped to select the perfect paired wines to enhance the gourmet experience. Guests attending previous trail dinners have raved about how fun it is to explore several wines with each course. Many of our guests are repeat attendees who have purchased tickets, year after year, to attend this exciting event to help raise funds for our local community.”

The Pleasant Valley Wine Trail is comprised of thirteen wineries along with associate members Hartley Farms and Wine Country RV. In addition to the annual dinner, the group hosts monthly activities along the trail, often with a food and wine pairing theme. Most wineries are small, family-owned businesses and include: Bon Niche Cellars, Cinquain Cellars, Four Sisters Ranch, Graveyard Vineyards, Hearst Ranch Winery, Locatelli Vineyards, Lusso Della Terra, Mystic Hills, Ranchita Canyon Vineyard, Riverstar Vineyards, Tackitt Family Vineyards, Villa San Juliette, and Vino Vargas. The wineries consistently win top awards, including over 50 wines rate above 90-points in 2018.

More information about the trail and a link to menu and dinner ticket sales can be found at www.pleasantvalleywinetrail.com. Ticket sales will close Aug. 15 or once the event is sold out.
