PG&E to trim 400 trees in Atascadero starting this week
Work aimed at preventing power outages, reducing wildfire risk
– Vegetation management work around PG&E facilities in the city of Atascadero will commence this week, with Davey Tree contracted by the utility company to trim over 400 trees in the city’s right-of-way over the next month. The work is aimed at preventing power outages and reducing wildfire risk.
All trees are located in the city’s right-of-way and door hanger notices were given to adjacent properties prior to the work’s start. Anyone with questions regarding the tree trimming operation can contact PG&E Vegetation Program Manager Kimberly McGuire at (805) 538-9118 or [email protected].
The move comes as part of PG&E’s ongoing efforts to manage vegetation.
