Pavement rehabilitation in downtown Atascadero continues this week

– The City of Atascadero has issued updates for the Downtown District Pavement Rehabilitation Project for the week.

On Tuesday, April 16, pavement markings will continue on Lewis Avenue between West Mall and the bridge, and on East Mall from El Camino to Lewis. Additionally, pavement markings will commence on Palma Avenue between Traffic Way and West Mall, as well as on West Mall from El Camino to Capistrano. Motorists should anticipate intermittent detours and delays. No parking areas have been posted, and on-street parking around City Hall will be very limited.

Pavement striping will take place site-wide on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 to 18, with minor impacts on traffic.

Looking ahead to the following week, from April 22nd to April 26th, no work is expected apart from final minor items.

Officials emphasize that two-week look-ahead schedules will be updated weekly, and construction schedules are subject to change based on staffing, supplies, and weather conditions.
