Paso Robles home damaged by fire
On Saturday at 2:46 p.m., Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services firefighters responded to a reported single-family residential structure fire at 1827 Park Street in Paso Robles.
Firefighters arrived at the scene in four minutes to discover a second unit to the rear of the main home heavily involved in fire extending to a nearby RV/motor home. Aggressive exterior fire attack followed with a primary search of both the home and RV revealed all occupants were out and accounted for; firefighters rescued two dogs from the involved home. Operations by the firefighters at scene stopped the fire, limiting heat and smoke damage to the main home.
The fire was contained in 19 minutes however full control declared after PG&E was able to secure the power of the service line in the rear of the property, which had burned through and was actively arcing. Full control established at 3:57 p.m. The residence was not occupied at the time of the fire. No firefighters or community members were injured.
The Paso Robles Firefighters were assisted by Paso Robles Police, Atascadero Fire Department, Cal Fire San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, and Paso Robles Building Department.
The cause of the fire was undetermined. Heavy fire damage to both the second residence and RV. Dollar damage estimate of $75,000.
