October events scheduled at the Atascadero Library 

The Atascadero Library is located at 6555 Capistrano Ave in Atascadero.

Preschool Storytimes

Preschool storytimes are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. to share stories and songs.

Toddler Storytimes

Join us for a storytime specifically designed for your toddler every Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. to share stories, rhymes, music and finger plays.

Railroad Storytime

  • Friday, Oct 6 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Toddler and Preschool age

 

Ballet Classes

  • Four weeks of ballet classes on Tuesday from Oct 3–24
  • Registration required.
  • Ages 3-5 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Ages 6-12 at 11:30 a.m.

 

Craft Club

  • Come make a fun project!
  • Wednesday, Oct 4 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Registration required. Please call or register online.
  • Ages 6 to 12.

 

Lego Club

  • Join us Saturday, Oct 14 at 2 p.m. for some Lego building fun!
  • Registration required. Please call or register online.
  • Ages 5-12

 

Pajama Drama

  • Six weeks of classes on Thursdays Sept 7–Oct 12 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Children are invited to take part in unique drama and imaginative play classes with a theme of the natural world.

Paws to Read to Daisy

  • Thursdays Oct 5-19 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Practice reading anything to Daisy the dog and she will listen!

The artwork of Linda Wargo

Wargo is the featured artist in October. An art reception will be held on Thursday, Oct 12, at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and all are invited.

Nature to Create an Abstract Composition (Acrylic Painting)

  • Saturday, Oct 7 from10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
  • Join Janice Pluma as adults use nature as an inspiration to create abstract compositions.

Book Discussion Groups

The two adult library book groups are Gems in the Stacks, which meets this month on Tuesday, Oct 3 at 11 a.m. and Mixed Minds Book Group which meets the 3rd Thursday, Oct 19 of the month at 2:30 p.m.Gems in the Stacks will discuss “The Little Paris Bookshop” by Nina George.
