November activities planned at the Atascadero library
–The Atascadero Library has announced their programming for the month of November. The library will be closed Friday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day and Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving.

Preschool storytimes
Storytimes are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30. They will share stories and songs.
Toddler storytimes
Join the library for a storytime specifically designed for your toddler every Friday morning at 10:30. They will share stories, rhymes, music and finger plays.
Spanish Storytime/Libros y Cantos
Join the library for music, stories and friendship with Janet! Vengan a disfrutar cuentos y cantos con Janet! Every child who attends receives a free book in Spanish. Cada niño recibirá un libro gratis para llevar a casa. Ages: 3-6. Tuesday, October 4 at 5:30. martes, 4 de octubre a las 5:30.
Chumash Interactive Circle
Chumash Interactive Circle with Yak Tityu Tityu Yak Tilhini. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with Chumash songs and stories. Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 3:30. For children ages 4-12.
Craft Club
Come make a fun project on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 3:30. Ages 6 to 12. Sign up required at the library.
Paddock Puppet Players
Join the library as they welcome the Paddock Puppet Players for some animal themed puppet fun on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 10:30. Fun for all ages.
Family Movie

Paws to read to Reno
Children are invited to read to Reno and practice their reading skills in a safe and comforting environment. Read any story to Reno and he will listen! Thursday, Nov. 3 and 17 at 3:30. For school-aged children.
Yoga for Teens
Bring a towel and some comfy clothes for this introductory yoga workshop for teens on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 3:30.
Central Coast Children’s Choir
The Central Coast Children’s Choir will be presenting some holiday music for your enjoyment on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 5. For all ages.
Lego Club
Join the library on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 for some Lego building fun! Ages 5-12. Sign up required at the library.
Adult programs
Presentation on the Salinan People
Thursday, Nov. 3, 6-7 p.m. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month by learning the fascinating culture of the Salinan People from Tribal Administrator Patti Dunton.
History of Camp Roberts
Thursday, Nov. 10, 6-7 p.m. In observance of Veterans Day and Local History Month, join Curator and Museum Director Gary McMaster of Camp Roberts Historical Museum as he talks about the unique history of Camp Roberts.
“Art Made Easy” classes
Nov. 5, 12 & 19 10:30-Noon. Coloring for adults with three Saturday session classes using colored pencils and watercolors inspired by noted illustrators presented by local artist Lauren Birkhahn. Sign-ups are required. Call 461-6162 to sign-up.
Local artists on display
The art of Cynthia Kevorkian, Marie Ramey, and Jane Russell will be on display at the Atascadero Library. These artists are also featured at the ärt/ Gallery on Traffic Way in Atascadero. The exhibit closes November 30.

Book discussion groups
The two library book groups are Gems in the Stacks which meets the 1st Tuesday (Nov. 1) of the month at 11 a.m. and Mixed Minds Book Group which meets the 3rd Thursday (Nov. 17) of the month at 2:30 p.m. Gems in the Stacks will discuss Dead Wake by Erik Larson. Mixed Minds Book Group will discuss The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver.
