Update: Missing Paso Robles teen returns home

–Yesterday night at approximately 8:30 p.m., Paso Robles Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Orchard Drive in Paso Robles for a juvenile overdose issue, according to police. One of the other juveniles involved at the scene police officers recognized as Joshua Newsome. Newsome was then reportedly taken back to the police station, where his mother picked him up and took him home.

–The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office and local mom Leann Booker has been searching for 15-year-old Joshua Newsome, according to reports. He was last seen in Paso Robles.

On May 21, Leann says her son ran away while she was taking her other son to the bus stop. He was reportedly last seen leaving Paso Robles High School.

Reports say that there were two potential sightings of Joshua, leading family to believe he was hanging out with transient youth.
