North County man given six years for child porn, lewd acts
– Steven Lindhorst, 53, of Paso Robles, was sentenced to six years in prison on Wednesday for possessing child pornography, lewd acts with a child, and other charges.
An investigation was launched in January after Lindhorst’s wife reportedly caught him viewing photos of underage girls on his computer, and found what appeared to be girls underwear in a drawer next to his computer. He also reportedly later confessed to Jehovah’s Witness Church elders that he was not attracted to adult women.
In total, detectives discovered approximately 24,000 images and 200 videos, most containing images of pubescent children engaged in sexual acts. Some of them appeared to be manufactured by Lindhorst, reports say, and in one video he appeared to be molesting a young girl, according to a prosecution motion filed in court.
Lindhorst will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life under Megan’s Law.
