North County football update
–The Paso Robles High School Football team had a bye Friday night.
The Bearcats will host St. Joseph next Friday night at War Memorial Stadium.
The Bearcats are 2-6 for the season, 0-2 in the league.
The St. Joseph Knights are 6-2 overall, 2-0 in conference.
The Atascadero Greyhounds lost to St. Joseph Friday night in Santa Maria, 49-14. The Greyhounds are without a victory at 0-8. They are 0-2 in conference.
The Greyhounds will play at Arroyo Grande on Friday. AG is 6-3 overall, 1-2 in conference.
The Templeton Eagles beat Santa Maria 56-40 Friday night at Santa Maria High School.
Quarterback Jack Trimble threw for over than 200 yards.
The Eagles started out scoring the first 21 points, but the Saints battled back with a strong running attack. Jack Sullenger intercepted a pass to stop a Saints drive late in the game.
The Eagles are now 2-1 in the Ocean League. They’re 3-5 overall.
Next Friday, they host the San Luis Obispo Tigers.
