Musical holiday walk coming to Atascadero Lake
Free event includes performances, refreshments, holiday decorations
– The community is invited to Atascadero Lake on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. to enjoy a musical holiday walk around the lake.
Homes all around the lake will be decked out with special lighting and holiday decorations. Many local choirs, bell ringers, carolers, and other musical groups will perform seasonal music all around the lake and in the pavilion. There will also be a live performance by the Atascadero High School Robotics Team in the pavilion.
There will be hot drinks, popcorn, and other refreshments for walkers, including a special hot cider and food booth hosted by the City of Atascadero. The event is free of charge.
The primary parking areas are the zoo parking lot, baseball field lot, Freedom Veteran’s memorial and pavilion lot. Marchant Way and Lake View Drive will be closed to through traffic from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Note: If there is steady rain prior to or during the event, some of the street activities may be canceled. Attendees are reminded to bring a flashlight and a warm coat.
