Morro Bay State Park Marina parking lot to close for repaving

Closure happening Tuesday, Feb. 8

– The parking lot at the Morro Bay State Park Marina will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 8, for repaving. In addition to parking, other services including the Bayside Café will be closed. Alternate parking locations will be available at the Museum of Natural History and along State Park Rd. The parking lot will reopen to the public on Wednesday, Feb. 9, and striping of the lot will occur one week later.

This project was funded by the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Proposition 1) in partnership with California State Parks, the City of Morro Bay, the Morro Bay National Estuary Program, the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation, and the California Ocean Protection Council. The project will improve water quality by installing a biofiltration system and new culverts.

Accessible parking spaces will be improved and two electric vehicle (EV) parking spaces will be added. The contractor is Souza Construction.
