Morro Bay Art Association hosting free ink line, watercolor demonstration

Demonstration open to the public

—Morro Bay Art Association is presenting a demonstration of ink line and watercolor wash by award-winning artist Tricia Reichert. The line and wash technique in watercolor can be an attractive diversion from using paint alone. Tricia will examine when to use ink in combination with watercolor washes.  Learn how to enhance your image and complement the line work.

Tricia was born and raised in England and studied Home Economics and Textile Art at Battersea College, London University.  She then taught high school for many years, before relocating to the US with her husband.  Tricia has become a specialist in the practice and theory of portraiture, particularly in the mediums of pastel and watercolor. Her other areas of expertise and interest include many forms of printmaking, clay figure and bust sculpture. She is currently a professional commissioned portrait artist, with several paintings in private collections throughout the US and Europe.

Tricia is an art teacher, working with groups and individuals on a wide range of classes and workshops, both privately and through Cal Poly University’s Extended Education division.

This demonstration will explore approaches to ink line and watercolor wash while Tricia demonstrates a variety of materials and ways to use them.

If you’ve wondered how to use ink line in combination of watercolor washes, don’t miss this great opportunity to learn techniques that will help you become a better artist.

Located at 835 Main Street, Morro Bay, on September 10, 2018, from 3 – 5 p.m.
