Middle school students explore careers, colleges through classroom project

Students use an online program called Xello to explore education, career options

– Students in a sixth-grade College and Careers elective class at Atascadero Middle School completed a project focused on future academic and career opportunities.

Students in teacher Mrs. Cooper’s class used an online program called Xello to explore university, trade, military, and career options based on personality, skills, and knowledge.

As part of the project, students selected a college to research and gathered information about the student body, majors, campus life, costs, sports, and other topics.

Students then created a pennant representing the school they researched.
