Seven firefighters from three departments received framed certificates
– Firefighters from across San Luis Obispo County were recognized for their service at the annual Firefighters Recognition Dinner on March 17 at King David’s Masonic Lodge No. 209 in San Luis Obispo.
Each honoree received a framed certificate during the ceremony. Those recognized include Engineer Paramedic Casey Robertshaw of the Morro Bay Fire Department; Fire Captain Paramedic Ryan Gobler, Fire Apparatus Engineer Paramedic Zach Doener, Fire Apparatus Engineer Andrew Gertz, Firefighter Jack Hoy, and Reserve Firefighter Parker Burt, all of Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Fire; and Captain Eric Lokkart of the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department.
In honor of the recipients, a $2,500 donation was made to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, which supports burn survivors and fire prevention education.
“These recognitions highlight the dedication and service our firefighters provide every day,” said Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Unit Chief John Owens. “We are proud to serve alongside these outstanding individuals and grateful for the community partnerships that recognize their efforts.”
