Man arrested for stabbing out-of-state visitor
Victim remains at the hospital and is recovering from his injuries
–Officers from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Jamie Alberto Uc, a 20-year-old from Oceano, for stabbing a forty-year-old Hispanic male from Arizona.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, at approximately 10:45 p.m. at the 2100 block of Vista Street in Oceano, sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a stabbing and located the victim outside the residence. The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery for a stab wound to the torso. The victim remains at the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
The suspect was identified as twenty-year-old Jaime Alberto Uc of Oceano, who had fled the area prior to the arrival of the deputies. An arrest warrant has been issued for Uc.
On Sunday, Aug. 7, sheriff’s detectives and members of the Sheriff’s Gang Task Force located the suspect at a motel in the 300 block of Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande.
Uc was taken into custody without incident at approximately 6:03 p.m. and was booked into county jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
