Long Walk Home fundraiser returns to Atascadero Sept. 23
– El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) has announced that its upcoming fundraising event, Long Walk Home, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23. This event will bring the community together to support ECHO’s mission of supporting those experiencing homelessness in the region get back into stable housing.
The ECHO Atascadero Campus at 6370 Atascadero Ave, Atascadero, is set to host the walk and associated activities. Registration will commence at 9 a.m., followed by the walk’s start at 10 a.m. Post-walk, attendees can partake in a barbecue and enjoy entertainment. Here’s what to expect:
- The march: Lace up those sneakers and join us on a scenic adventure through the city. The more, the merrier, so bring friends, family, and even furry pals for the walk of the year.
- Family Fun Zone: Enjoy games, live music, a barbecue, exotic animals, and an interactive playground. It’s an event for everyone, young and young at heart.
- Inspirational Speakers: Get inspired by some incredible people who’ve overcome homelessness and are now shining stars in the community.
