Local hotel appoints Nathan Clapp as new executive chef

– Springhill Suites in Atascadero has announced the recent appointment of Executive Chef Nathan Clapp to oversee all food and beverage offerings on the property, including the popular on-site restaurant, Union & Vine.
Clapp is internationally trained as he has spent time working in the culinary scene in Italy, Australia, the Bahamas, and is now back in the United States serving fresh California cuisine in wine country.
“We are thrilled to have Nathan join our team, and we are confident that his global training and strong leadership skills will elevate the culinary offerings at the hotel,” said Thomas “Mac” Gregory, Corporate Senior Director of Food & Beverage. “Chef is passionate about seasonal cuisine, and we look forward to seeing the innovation that he brings to the table.”
To kick off his new position at the property, Clapp designed a specialty four-course menu for Valentine’s Day with a choice of filet mignon or salmon available Thursday through Monday (Feb. 10-14.) Springhill Suites Paso Robles Atascadero will also host a Superbowl party at Union & Vine offering beer and cocktail specials, game-day appetizers, and plenty of screens to watch the game on. Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. on Feb. 13.
