Local gym teams up with Boys & Girls Club for school supply drive
New school supplies can be dropped off at the Atascadero Planet Fitness
– Local Planet Fitness locations and The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mid Central Coast have joined forces for a back-to-school supply drive for the 2023-2024 school year to ensure children within the community are set up to succeed academically.
Beginning on July 24, participating Planet Fitness locations, including the Atascadero location, will be collecting new school supplies for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mid Central Coast, so children do not have to experience a first day of school without their basic necessities. The community is encouraged to stop by the participating Planet Fitness locations to donate items such as backpacks, lined notebooks, #2 pencils, pens, crayons, glue sticks, calculators, erasers, rulers, and other essential items through August 8th.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mid Central Coast will be hosting an event on Aug. 11 at 4 p.m. at the Railroad Clubhouse location for its members to collect their school supplies. Additionally, the Planet Fitness team will be in attendance, distributing free PF swag to add to the excitement of the event.
