Local florist announces change in ownership
Long-time employee will take over the business
– Bee’s Blossoms Florist, a local business known for its floral arrangements and customer service, has announced a change in ownership. Alyssa Reid, who has owned the shop for the past five years, is stepping down due to an extended illness. Michelle Cardenas, a long-time employee, will take over the Atascadero business.
Reid has led Bee’s Blossoms, formerly Arlyne’s Flowers from 1950 to 2018, to become a cornerstone of the community, offering innovative floral designs for various occasions. “I am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at Bee’s Blossoms,” Reid said. “It’s been a labor of love, and I am confident that Michelle, with her dedication, talent, and outstanding team, will continue to uphold our high standards and bring fresh ideas to the business. I will miss seeing our regular customers but trust that Michelle and her staff will continue those relationships we have built together.”
Cardenas, who has worked at Bee’s Blossoms for the past three years, expressed her excitement about taking on the new role. “I am honored to take on this new role and continue building upon the legacy Arlyne’s Flowers established and Alyssa worked so hard to uphold,” Cardenas said. “I look forward to serving our loyal customers and welcoming new ones, with the same passion and dedication that has always defined Arlyne’s Flowers and Bee’s Blossoms.”
The transition of ownership is expected to be seamless, with no disruption to the shop’s operations. Cardenas plans to introduce new offerings and community events to enhance the customer experience and strengthen ties to the community.
