– Tickets for the 37th annual Live Oak Music Festival went on sale Monday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m., with early bird discounts available through March 15. The three-day festival will take place June 13-15 at El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo. Organized as a primary fundraiser for KCBX Public Radio, the event features live music, family-friendly activities, and camping on festival grounds.
Full festival tickets for adults, teens, and children include camping. Single-day tickets, RV reservations, and camp parking passes are also available. Attendees will have the option to upgrade their tickets for early access to the festival grounds on Thursday, June 12.
The festival will feature a wide range of musical genres, including funk, bluegrass, soul, folk, alternative rock, Americana, and world music. KCBX General Manager Frank Lanzone highlighted the event’s tradition, saying, “This is a Father’s Day tradition that my children have grown up with. Now, I am thrilled to be attending the festival with my grandchildren, a multi-generational experience so many others in our community have also enjoyed.”

Cimafunk.
Fifteen acts have been confirmed for 2025, with more announcements expected. Performers include The California Honeydrops, Cimafunk, Grateful Shred, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, Chuck Prophet and His Cumbia Shoes, High Step Society, Margo Cilker, Miko Marks, Jerry & Dawg Revisited, Wolf Jett, Brass Mash, Two Paper Squares, Zen Mountain Poets, True Zion, and Murphy Wylde.
Program Director and Live Oak Artistic Director Marisa Waddell expressed enthusiasm for the lineup. “We’re excited to present such a diverse array of talented performers, and we can’t wait to announce even more artists soon,” she said. Waddell also noted that this year coincides with the radio station’s 50th anniversary and the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead. “This is a monumental year, and we want Live Oak to truly capture that celebratory spirit,” she said.
