Library to host meditation presentation

–The Atascadero Library will be hosting a talk by meditation teacher and clinical hypnotherapist Devin Wallace on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room.
He will share some insights into what makes meditation such a powerful tool for transformation. He will discuss various forms of meditation, share information on how people can establish a regular practice and where to find skillful guidance. The session will also be experiential, including some brief meditation periods and exercises designed to look more closely at mental activity and its effect on how we see the world.
Devin Wallace began his exploration of meditation in 1971 while living at a Zen Buddhist Priory in Oregon. Since that time he has attended numerous retreats with Buddhist teachers, co-founded several meditation groups, and has been a student of Hol Wye Sunim, a zen monk from Sri Lanka, since 1999.
