Letter: Atascadero City Treasurer supports O’Malley for mayor 

To the editor,

From the dot-com meltdown through the mega recession, Tom O‘Malley used his training in economics to successfully manage finances for county departments and later the City of Atascadero. He works cooperatively with staff and colleagues, and listens to the needs of the public.

As financial administrator for the county mental health department he brought creative ideas and common sense controls and policies to the county auditor’s Office that greatly benefited his department. As city treasurer, I have been impressed with the teamwork of the city finance staff and the clear direction Tom has provided in dealing with difficult budget challenges.

My recommendation in the 2016 election is Tom O’Malley for mayor.
