Lee Greenwood to perform at Mid-State Fair
– Lee Greenwood, the man behind the hit, “God Bless the U.S.A.,” will be coming to the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles on July 28 at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., on the Frontier Stage.
The international country music star has earned multiple CMA and ACM Awards throughout his expansive career, along with a Grammy for Top Male Vocal Performance on “I.O.U,” in 1985. His discography includes twenty-two studio albums, seven compilation albums, seven No. 1 hits, and thirty-eight singles including songs like “Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands,” “Dixie Road,” and “Somebody’s Gonna Love You.”
His hit, “God Bless The USA,” has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times after major national events (1991, 2001 and 2003) — the only song in any genre of music to achieve that feat. It was also No. 1 on the pop charts after September 11, 2001 and has served as an inspirational tribute to America for over three generations.
Greenwood is the National Ambassador for HelpingAHero.org, which helps to build specially adapted housing for wounded veterans and has been on over 40 USO Tours, performing for our troops.
He is currently on tour nationwide performing at fairs, festivals, casinos and theaters around the world.
