You Knew Me When to perform at Barrel House Brewing
You Knew Me When will perform at BarrelHouse Brewing Co. in Paso Robles on March 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The concert is free to attend.
After uprooting from their Nashville home and full-time jobs in June of 2012, the husband and wife duo You Knew Me When set plans to tour the nation for a full year, however; they never stopped.
Since that time they have been serving up their craft brewed compositions coast to coast throughout the USA and into Canada, released their first studio album “You, Me, and the Rest of the World,” and have done all of this as a fully independent entity. Many “miles and memories later,” the duo will release their sophomore album “We Found Roads” on April 14.
Outfitted with an array of instruments, You Knew Me When are a duo that presents a full band sound. While blending their vocals, Karisa, who previously served as a tenured Nashville public school music teacher, provides the piano, ukulele, glockenspiel, and percussive elements, as Cie, who spent several years as the Global Events Manager for Gibson Guitar, supplies the guitar and other rhythmic nuances. The cumulative result is a musical style that blends a singer-songwriter soul with a pop/rock mentality.
“We Found Roads” showcases the musical progression of You Knew Me When and the melding of both Karisa and Cie’s musical styles. At times upbeat and folksy, at times melancholy and introspective, the album is a reflection of mile-markers and moments derived from “giving up everything and finding new paths together.”
Physical and digital copies of “We Found Roads” will be available at www.youknewmewhen.com. The album will also available on iTunes, Amazon, and other online retailers.
