Kayla Peach Memorial Foundation raises awareness about youth substance abuse
Foundation seeks to empower community to make life-saving choices
–The Kayla Peach Memorial Foundation (KPMF) is a non-profit organization that has been established to honor the memory Kayla Peach and other young local youth that have been taken far too soon by the epidemic of substance abuse and addiction.
The goal of the foundation is to raise awareness in the community about the silent, but very real, epidemic of substance abuse related deaths happening among youth. In trying to prevent this tragedy from devastating any other families, the foundation is bringing awareness and education to the community, parents, and students.
The foundation is raising funds to bring educational programs into schools for parents and youth starting at an earlier age. The goal is to empower them with the knowledge and information necessary to make wise and life-saving choices. The foundation is providing awareness to our community with banners and screenings of addiction and substance abuse information and data that includes names, ages and faces of many of our own local youth that have been lost to this devastating disease named addiction.
The foundation is also offering high school scholarships to graduating seniors who are committed to “making a difference” in the lives of others and leading a substance abuse free life.
