–Last September, K-Jon’s Fine Jewelers in Atascadero put on a book drive to collect books to send to a school in Tanzania, Africa. Their goal at the time was to fill one suitcase with 50 books. Instead of 50, they collected hundreds of books, and this past January, the books were delivered.
Angela Cisneros, manager of K-Jon’s Fine Jewelers, said, “We want to say ‘thank you’ to the community for their hard work on this project. Without the generosity of our community, we would not have been able to provide this support and encourage education in such a worthwhile manner.”
The school is located in Kitarini, Tanzania, which is in the Longido region. Pia and Sune, the missionaries who are dedicated to the Gospel in Tanzania and began the school with their own efforts, were very excited and thankful for the donation, according to Cisneros.
