Immigration policy protests planned in SLO County this week
Government policy and the recent treatment of immigrant children has spurred public outcry
—Recently, the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Border Patrol have buckled down on immigration enforcement. President Donald Trump’s zero-tolerance policy toward illegal immigration has caused a public outcry. Local groups around the Central Coast are organizing protest events, and fundraisers to benefit the immigrant children’s families.
