Hounds shut out Tigers for Homecoming win

Atascadero 46, SLO 0
–With a packed stadium of current and past students cheering them on, the Atascadero High School Greyhounds earned a 46-0 shut-out victory over the visiting San Luis Obispo Tigers Friday night to the delight of the Homecoming crowd.

Quarterback Carson Rinkenberger was 10 for 11, throwing for 213 yards for the Hounds. Atascadero’s touchdowns came from RJ Reusche, Elijah Cooks, Marc Martin and Tysen Delkener.

The Hounds strengthened their PAC-5 League record to 2-0 (7-1 overall) with their win over SLO (0-3 PAC-5, 2-7 overall).

Atascadero will host the Arroyo Grande Eagles (2-0 PAC-5, 7-1 overall) in a home game on Friday, Oct. 30. Varsity play starts at 7 p.m.; JV at 4 p.m.

Bearcats & Eagles return to action Friday
It was a bye week for both Paso Robles and Templeton.
The Bearcats (1-1 PAC-5, 4-4 overall) return to action on Oct. 30 when they travel to Santa Maria to face the Righetti Warriors (1-1 PAC-5, 2-5 overall), while the Eagles (1-1 LPL, 5-3 overall) host the Nipomo Titans (2-0 LPL, 4-4 overall). Varsity 7 p.m.; JV 4 p.m.
