‘Hot El Camino Cruise Nite’ set for August 21

– On Friday, August 21 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. the City of Atascadero will host the 23rd annual Hot El Camino Cruise Nite, a closed controlled cruise from Curbaril to Traffic Way. According to the City of Atascadero, the current construction on El Camino Real will not hinder the route. The current phase of construction will be completed before the classic cars cruise down El Camino Real. The route will remain in place from Cubaril to Traffic Way.
The following roads will be closed: El Camino Real from Curbaril to Traffic Way; East Mall from Lewis Ave to El Camino Real; West Mall from Lewis Ave to El Camino; Palma Ave from East Mall to Traffic Way; Traffic Way from Lewis Avenue to El Camino Real; San Luis Ave from Curbaril to Pueblo Ave; Pueblo Ave from San Luis Ave to El Camino Real and Entrada Ave from El Camino Real to Lewis Ave. On the back of this notice is a copy of the 2015 Hot El Camino Cruise Nite Route.
Highway 41 will be closed to thru traffic at the intersections of El Camino Real and Morro Road. Traffic Way will be closed to thru traffic between El Camino Real and Lewis Ave. City of Atascadero personnel and assisting agencies have been instructed to allow foot traffic access to businesses that are open to the public during the cruise time.
