Heat advisory to go into effect for Atascadero

– A heat advisory is in effect for Atascadero from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. Thursday.

Temperatures of up to 103 degrees are expected Wednesday and Thursday in some parts of North County with warm overnight low temperatures.

Weather Underground is predicting a daytime high temperature today in Atascadero of 93, and 91 tomorrow, before temperatures are expected to decrease again into the 80s.

The National Weather Service advises that hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. Citizens are reminded to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
