Free daytime tours available for children and parents

– Nightmare From Main Street, a haunted house in downtown Paso Robles, will open for its 15th year beginning Oct. 17.

The event is organized by Nightmare From Main Street, a 100 percent volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) that donates proceeds to local causes. The haunted house, located at 828 14th St., features 6,000 square feet of space and 20 themed rooms, including the Michael Myers room, haunting clowns, and the Vortex of Doom.

The haunted house will be open Oct. 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m. A “Total Darkness” tour, where guests navigate the attraction with only a flashlight, will take place Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Admission is $20 per person. A VIP ticket, which allows front-of-the-line entry, costs $30 per person.

A free “Lights On” tour, designed for children and parents with no scare elements, will be held Oct. 18 and 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.
