Growers host seminar on El Nino Predictions
IGGPRA to host monthly seminar ‘Erosion, Yields and El Nino Predictions’ on Sept. 30
– The public is invited to join the Independent Grape Growers of the Paso Robles Area, or IGGPRA, at its September Seminar: Erosion, Yields and El Nino Predictions. The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the J.Lohr meeting room, located at 6169 Airport Drive, Paso Robles.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from three speakers: Local PG&E Meteorologist John Lindsey, a national resource conservation service spokesperson, and former instructor of grapevine physiology at Cal Poly and owner of Precision Ag Consulting Lowell Zelinski. Topics will include an update and predictions about the “Godzilla El Nino,” erosion; how to prepare for all the rain and why most yield were so poor; and what went wrong in 2015.
The seminar will be free for IGGPRA members and $20 for non-members. To reserve your seat, leave a message for “seminar” at (805) 461-1391 or email [email protected]. For more information about IGGPRA, visit www.IGGPRA.com.
