Grover Beach Rabobank robbed at gunpoint 

First arriving GBPD officers were able to secure the scene and ascertain a suspect description of an adult Asian male, approximately mid-twenties to mid-thirties, bald head, wearing a black zip up hooded sweatshirt, black BDU style pants, and black and white tennis shoes.

Suspect still at large

–At about 11:33 a.m., on Dec. 7, the Grover Beach Police Department received a call of an armed robbery at the Rabobank located at 899 W. Grand Avenue. Officers from the Grover Beach, Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande Police Departments responded to the area. The California Highway Patrol responded an air unit to assist in the search.

First arriving GBPD officers were able to secure the scene and ascertain a suspect description of an adult Asian male, approximately mid-twenties to mid-thirties, bald head, wearing a black zip up hooded sweatshirt, black BDU style pants, and black and white tennis shoes. Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Forensics Team from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriffs Department responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.

Further investigation determined the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller while brandishing a handgun. The suspect received a small amount of money before leaving the bank. City video surveillance cameras identified the suspect vehicle as a blue colored Infinity sedan, possibly a 070 model. The vehicle was last seen fleeing west on Grand Avenue toward 4th Street.

You may be eligible for a $1,000 reward for information leading to the identity of the suspect.
