Greyhounds travel to San Luis Obispo to take on the Tigers

North County sports update

–The Atascadero Greyhounds travel to San Luis Obispo to take on the much-improved Tigers. San Luis Obispo is 5-1. The Tiger’s only loss of the season was against the Templeton Eagles. The Greyhounds are 2-4. Last Friday, Atascadero lost a home game to Royal of Simi Valley, 27-13. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. at San Luis Obispo High School.

The Paso Robles Bearcats host the Arroyo Grande Eagles tonight at War Memorial Stadium. The Bearcats are 2-4 for the season. They’re coming off a bye, so they had two weeks to prepare for the Eagles. AG is 4-3 for the season. The Eagles beat Lompoc, and two Bakersfield high schools- Independence and Centennial, but lost to San Luis Obispo, Bullard of Fresno and Menlo-Atherton in the Bay Area. They are ranked #13 in the Central Section Division 1 Rankings.

The game was originally scheduled to be played in Arroyo Grande, but their field is being renovated, so it’s going to be played in Paso Robles. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. tonight at War Memorial Stadium.

The Templeton Eagles host the Santa Maria Saints tonight. It’s Homecoming in Templeton, so there should be a full house. The Eagles are 5-1, after beating St. Bernard’s, an undefeated team from Eureka. Kick-off for the Templeton game is at 7 p.m.

The games tonight are the first conference games of the season for each team.
