Greyhounds beat Everette Alvarez High School 42-36
Greyhounds came back to tie the game in second half, won it in overtime
– Saturday afternoon, the Atascadero Greyhounds Football team beat Everette Alvarez High School in Salinas, 42-36.
It was quite a comeback for the Greyhounds. The Alvarez Eagles scored 15 unanswered points in the first quarter and led 29-7 at halftime. The Greyhounds came back in the second half and tied the game. In overtime, the Greyhounds won it 42-36. It was a remarkable come-from-behind win for the Greyhounds Saturday afternoon in Salinas.
The Greyhounds travel to Santa Maria Friday night, then they host San Luis at home on Sept. 23.
